The picture shows a view of this Colorful Old Unused Red White & Blue Paper & Wood Top Flite Kite. The kite is not dated but it is old. It is believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s. It has been unrolled only once ever to take the picture. The round items seen at the corners are only magnets used to hold the kit open for the picture. There is a string in the edge seam all around and the two notched wooden sticks are included. There is no string to fly the kite or a tail included. The kite is imprinted in patriotic colors of red and blue on white paper. It has colorful stripes, as well as instructions near the bottom. It is marked as follows: THE RED, WHITE & BLUE TOP FLITE CRUNDEN - MARTIN MANUFACTURING CO. ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI The kite measures about 27-1/2'' x 33''. It appears to be in mint as made condition as pictured except one of the sticks may be an inch or two short. |
