The picture shows a view of the (2) Old George McGovern Political Campaign Pin Back Buttons in this lot. One of these pinback buttons is an error pin. It was cout wrong. The other is a normal button. These are both believed to be from 1972. These have a union marking and are marked as follows:

George Stanley McGovern, (born July 19, 1922) is a former United States Representative, Senator, and Democratic presidential nominee. McGovern lost the 1972 presidential election in a landslide to incumbent Richard Nixon. McGovern, a World War II combat veteran, was most noted for his opposition to the Vietnam War. He is currently serving as the United Nations global ambassador on hunger.
