| The pictures below show larger views of all (3) Different 1940s C. Barnett Glorys Musical Knights Band Photograph Negatives in this lot. These negatives are not dated, but they were part of a large collection of negatives taken in the early 1940s, during World War II. The negatives that we were able to identify from the collection were from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. They appear to have been taken by a professional Photographer. These three particular negatives were in an envelope with the name ''C. Barnett Glorys Musical Knights'' written on it. Unfortunately we do not have any information about this band or the band members. If you have knowledge of this band, or any of its members, please let us know. It appears that they are playing on a small stage in either a city auditorium, in a town hall, or in a fraternal organization building. The images are of the band and some of their instruments. Included are members holding banjos, accordion, drums, trumpet, and maybe a saxophone. Some of these are most likely singers or vocalists. There are both men and women in the band. Also in these photographs, to the right of the stage, there is a 1941 World War II Service Star Flag with a star for each of the town's (20) residents who were serving in the United States military at that time. There is a photograph of a man who was probably a Mayor, and below that is a copy of the United States Declaration of Independence. All of these for one price! These are large format black & white negatives. Large photograph prints can be made with these. They each negative measures about 4-5/8'' x 3-1/2''. They appear to be in mint as made condition as pictured. |
