The picture shows a front and back view of this colorful 1915 Cracker Jack Baseball Card of Edward Rousch of the Indianapolis Federals. This card is on a little heavier paper stock then other cards that we have had and probably an old 1915 card copy or reproduction. It is #161 of a set of 176 cards that were used. The cards issued were from the American, National, and Federal Leagues. The original caerds were put out by the Rueckheim Bros. & Eckstein, the makers of Cracker Jack. The baseball cards were first used in 1914. The 1914 set of 144 baseball cards had proved to be popular, so the following year (1915) they were again added as a prize with a set of 176 cards. In 1915 the set was also offered as a mail away premium with an album to put them in. The cards from the 1915 set have the premium offer on the back and the 1914 cards do not. This card measures about 2-3/16'' x 2-13/16''. We are not a grading company and this card has not been graded. Please judge by the clear image of the card as to the condition. |
