The picture below shows a larger view of all (29) Old Cutcheon Family Ancestor Photographs in this lot. We acquire many old photographs here and usually most of them are unnamed which would make it impossible to locate family members. This lot however, has the same last name ''Cutcheon'' on many of them. Apparently they had belonged to the U.S. Army Soldier ''First Lieutenant Robert Lewis Cutcheon'' that is in some of them. The photographs are from the 1800s to 1944 during World War II. The family is believed to be from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Hopefully this listing will help them find their way home. Many of these photographs apparently were in a photo album or scrap book at one time. Some have scrapbook paper still on the backs. Many of these have names on either the front or the back. Some of these names include the following: Roger Lewis Cutcheon Lewis Dana Cutcheon Roger Cutcheon James M. Cutcheon L. M. Cutcheon Mrs. L. M. Cutcheon L. D. Cutcheon Nora Cutcheon Lewis M. Cutcheon Betsy Carr Cutcheon Roger L. Cutcheon Waldo M. Cutcheon Litt Cutcheon ...and more. Some of these photos are from unknown locations during World War II. The man that we believe that these belonged to ''First Lieutenant Robert Lewis Cutcheon'', had graduated from Censorship School at Fort Washington in Maryland. There is also a newspaper clipping included for this. This lot has Carte De Visite (CDV) photograph cards, a few Cabinet cards, and snapshot photos. To judge the sizes the largest photograph here (top center) measures 8'' x 10''. The photographs appears to range anywhere from fair to excellent condition as pictured. |
