| | | The picture shows this ©1925 Shotwell Marshmallow Trade Publication Color Advertisement. The ad itself is not for Shotwell Marshmallows. It is for Sefton Manufacturing Corporation, which made the packaging for Shotwell Marshmallows. It is from a January 1926 issue of PRINTERS' INK MONTHLY. In the foreground the ad pictures a beautiful display box filled with twelve smaller ten cent boxes and a background display. There is another box shown (with all its layers) spilling out the marshmalows. In the background there is a Maxfield Parrish looking Art Nouveau image of a beach sunset with people around a fire, probably roasting marshmallows. It is marked from top to bottom as follows: Displaying A Product Shotwell's Marshmallows Light Fluffy Pure (each box is marked) Copyrighted by Sefton Mfg. Corp. 1925 Complete Packaging Service Corrugated Containers Folding Boxes & Display Cartons Sefton Mf'g. Corp. America's Best Cartons Anderson Brooklyn Chicago General Offices 59 E. Madison Street Chicago The ad is very bright and colorful and it is on cover or card stock paper. It measures 8-1/16" x 11-3/4". It appears to be slightly cropped. It is in near mint condition. There are a couple very minor tiny edge tears on the right side. |
