The pictures below show a larger front and back view of this Colorful Old Unused 1950 Indianapolis 500 Winner Wynn's Oil Advertising Paper Sticker. This is a sticker from a collection of auto racing stickers and decals that we had acquired. Some have a year on them such as this one, but we do not know the actual years that they were all made. This paper sticker pictures Johnny Parsons in a bright yellow Indy 500 race car. It has two checkered flags and it is marked as follows: THE ''500'' --- INDIANAPOLIS SPEEDWAY TESTING GROUND OF DRIVING COURAGE AND THE MECHANIC'S SKILL JOHNNY PARSONS 1950 INDIANAPOLIS WINNER WYNN'S FRICTION PROOFING OIL WYNN'S FRICTION PROOFING SPECIAL (on car) WYNN'S FRICTION PROOFING OIL (on car) The sticker measures about 5-1/2'' x 4-1/4''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured except after the first picture was taken the sticker had accidentally gotten a straight diagonal crease that goes from the ''5'' of ''500'' at the top to the word ''DRIVING'' at the bottom please see the second picture below). The back is blank with no glue, but there is a small piece of scotch tape that probably held the sticker in a scrap book at one time. |
