| | | The picture shows a front and back view of this Old Cabinet Photograph of a Man with Masonic Regalia. The year that this photograph was taken is unknown but it is believed to be from the 1800s. The name of the man in the photo is also unknown, but it could probably be researched. The man is wearing a suit with a bow tie. He has on a masonic apron with crossed swords and a skull with crossed bones. He has a sash with masonic jewels or badges. He is wearing a belt and gloves with a cross. He also has a Masonic sword, and is also holding a hat with feather plumes. The regalia that he is wearing is believed to have been made by The Ames Sword Company of Chicopee, Massachusetts. He is leaning on an antique piece of button tufted velvet furniture with a tassel. The old photograph is marked on the back as follows: MOORE BROTHERS PHOTOGRAPHIC GALLERY AND STUDIO OPPOSITE COURT SQUARE, SPRINGFIELD, MASS. ESTABLISHED 1857 The photograph measures 2-7/16'' x 3-5/8''. It appears to be in near mint to mint condition as pictured. |
