| | | The pictures show a front and back view of this Unopened ©1974 American Centennial & Bicentennial Commemorative License Plate. This Historic souvenir came from the collection of someone on the Committees in Philadelphia for the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976. It had been packed away ever since that time. The painted and imprinted license plate is in red, white, and blue. It pictures two different American flags. In the center there is an image and information about the American Centennial Exhibition in 1876 in Philadelphia. Listed on the front, in order of statehood are all (50) states of the United States. It is also marked: ''FROM GRANDMOTHER'S SCRAPBOOK'' and ''©1974 KATHERINE GOODWIN EVANS''. On the back are two attached papers. One has additional information ''FROM MY GRANDMOTHER'S SCRAP BOOK'' and a list of states that use one license plate (in 1976). The plate has four slotted holes for mounting on a vehicle. It measures 12'' x 6''. It is in mint unopened condition as pictured. |
