This cosmetic compact is in the shape of an old miniature leather bound book. The leather cover has a geometric art deco pattern imprinted in gold. The only marking that we can see is on the binding edge that reads as follows: MONDAINE

PAT. PEND. The compact opens to a beveled glass mirror on one side and a compartment with some old make up applicators and a little bit of the powder as it was found. The closed compact measures 2'' x 2-7/8'' x 5/16''. It appears to be in excellent used condition as pictured. The applicator pads were found in the case. The leather cover has some wear from use. The metal has an aged patina, but it could be polished if desired. That will be up to the buyer to decide. The beveled glass mirror is a little cloudy inside. |
