The picture shows a view of all (4) Old Unused Portsmouth New Hampshire First National Bank Advertising Premium Ink Pen Blotters in this lot. These ink blotters are not dated but they are old. On the left of each is an emblem with a sailing ship with an American flag being built in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On the right side of two is a scene with people at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. The other two have an image of a sailing ship named he Chocorua that was built in Portsmouth. The blotters are worded slightly different, but they are marked as follows: FIRST NATIONAL BANK PORTSMOUTH, N.H. ORGANIZED 1824 CHARTER NO. 19 UNITED STATES DEPOSITORY COMMERCIAL AND SAVINGS DEPARTMENTS 4% INTEREST PAID SAFE DEPOSIT VAULTS STORAGE SPACE FOREIGN DEPARTMENTS MAKE THIS BANK YOUR BANKING HOME (top two) THE BEACH AT HAMPTON, N.H. (bottom two) CHOCORUA - BUILT AT PORTSMOUTH, N.H. IN 1874 - 75 BY FERNALD AND PETIGREW FOR CHARLES H. MENDUM AND OTHERS. The advertising ink blotters each measure 9'' x 3-5/8''. They appear to be in excellent to mint unused condition as pictured. Two of them have some small spotting on the back. |
