| The picture shows four views of this Old Walt Disney Alice In Wonderland Pottery Cookie Jar. The year that this cookie jar was made is unknown but it is believed to be from the early 1950s. It is modeled after Walt Disney's 1951 version of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The cookie jar is glazed in a turquoise blue. The raised image of Alice was painted in red, yellow and white. There is enough of the original old paint remaining to match the colors and repaint it if desired. She can easily be repainted. The lettering on the side and on the lid are raised It is marked as follows: ALICE IN WONDERLAND
COOKIES The bottom of the jar is marked but difficult to see in the pictures. It has recessed lettering that reads as follows: ALICE IN WONDERLAND

WALT DISNEY PROD. The cookie jar with lid measures about 8-1/4 tall'' x about 6'' wide. Aside from the paint loss on Alice it is in as made condition. There are no cracks chips or breaks on either the jar or the lid. |
