The pictures show a front and back view of this ©1966 Cigarette Merchandisers Association Advertising Indian Counter Display. This countertop figurine is made to look like it is made of wood but it is not, It is made of some type of molded material. It is all brown except for some colors on the Native American figure. He is wearing a headdress and holding a pipe. The bottom has old brown felt attached. We believe that this was supposed to be used on a store or tobacco shop counter. the larger barrel would hold cigarettes (or cigars) and the smaller barrel would hold wooden matches. This would look great, and be useful on a bar back shelf or on an office desk. It is marked on the front and back of the base as follows: CIGARETTE MERCHANDISERS ASS'N., INC. 1966 © ARTISTIC LATEX FORM CO. N.Y.C. The display measures about 8-1/2'' x 9-3/4'' x 4''. It appears to be in near mint to mint as made condition as pictured. It is clean and we believe that it has never been used. |
