Whalom Park   Massachusetts   Amusement Park   Advertising   Souvenir   Nostalgic
The picture shows a view of all (3) Old Whalom Park Amusement Park Advertising Souvenir Items in this lot. The first picture shows all three items but there was light glare on the pin back button. The second picture shows a closer view of that pinback button. These three items are from different time periods from Whalom Park.

The celluloid pin back button is not dated but it is believed to be from the early 1900s. It is marked as follows:

WONDER KIDDIES DAY
WHALOM PARK
WED. - AUG. 14th
LET'S GO

The red identification tag was made by the Dennison Manufacturing Company. It is from the ''WHALOM PARK AMUSEMENT CO.''. It is stamp dated ''JUN 8 1953''.

The last item is an unopened ''HIGH FLYER PADDLE BALL''. It is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1970s. The wooden paddle has a connected rubber ball and it is imprinted with a whale and it reads as follows:

WHALOM PARK
LUNENBURG, MASS.

The vintage amusement park in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, was in continuous operation since 1893, sadly closed forever on Labor Day weekend 2000 and is now being demolished to make way for the development of a condominium project, managed by Global Property Development of Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

To judge the sizes the wooden paddle measures 9'' long. The paddle ball is in mint unopened condition. The tag is in excellent condition. The pinback button has water spots as pictured and rusting on the back.
