The picture shows a view of this Large 1945 City Scene With Signs Photograph Negative. This negative is from Downtown Concord, New Hampshire. There are many businesses with signs on this negative. This large brick building is named: STATE BLOCK This is an original large format sepia tone negative on Eastman Kodak Safety Film. It measures 4-5/8'' x 3-1/2''. It is almost the size of a post card! With this size a print could be enlarged very big without losing any detail. There is much more detail than can be seen in the scanned picture below. There are businesses upstairs and downstairs with large awnings on some. Beginning at the left there is a famous store: J. C. PENNEY COMPANY There is a lawyers office upstairs. The name is hard to make out. The next two stores have large signs. These read as follows: ENNA JETTICK $5 SHOES $6 TONKIN & FRAZER There is a ''BUS STOP'' sign on the telephone pole in the center. The next business is believed to be the reason for this image. It is a large corner Drug Store with Diner. There are small signs in the windows, larger display signs in the right window, an old weight scale in the doorway, and an advertising thermometer on the right. There are some nice spider web design windows above. The larger signs on this business are as follows: (neon) ROBERTS DRUGS (neon) LUNCHES (4) DRINK COCA - COLA PRESCRIPTIONS DRUGS ROBERTS DRUG ROBERTS HANDY PACKAGE DRUG STORE The sign of the business upstairs reads as follows: MORRILL & EVERETT INSURANCE - REAL ESTATE - SURETY BONDS At the far right a church can be seen.
