The picture below shows a larger view of this Unused ©1955 Creature From The Black Lagoon Revenge of the Creature Movie Advertising Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1955 when this movie was made. This is a mold in which lead is poured into create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mat is like miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has the title, actors names, and an image of the Creature in chains and people. It is marked as follows:

NEW THRILL WONDER 3-D HORRORSCOPE!
MONSTER ESCAPES!
CITY IN TERROR!
REVENGE OF THE CREATURE
ALL NEW THRILLS!
STARRING JOHN AGAR - LORI NELSON - JOHN BROMFIELD
A UNIVERSAL INTERNATIONAL PICTURE (UI logo)
THEATRE MAT NO.106
AD MAT NO. 202 - 2 COL. x 3'' - 84 LINES

The ad mat measures about 4-9/16'' x 4-1/4''. It appears to be in good unused condition with a water mark in the upper right corner as pictured.
