The pictures show views of all (8) Small Old Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.) Advertising Items in this lot. The second picture shows a closer view of the three smaller items. There is a variety of items here including the following: There is an invitation card. It has no date but it is believed to be from the 1800s. It is an invitation to a ''Conversational Bible Class'' in Victoria Square (in England ?). It lists other meetings as well. The back has a long list of churches, their locations, and their Pastors for Episcopal, Presbyterian, Methodist, Congregational, and Baptist. It has the name ''B. E. Barker'' written at the top. There is a 1919 folded paper booklet ''YMCA Figures and Facts Concerning The Y Overseas'' It is from the ''Young Men's Christian Association of 83 Pleasant Street of Malden, Massachusetts''. It has four pages of information. Next is a ©1941, 1942 booklet titled ''THE SERVICE BOOK OF SCRIPTURE PRAYER AND HYMNS'. This little (82) page booklet has a cover that resembles denim. It was compiled for the men and women in their country's service by Lewis Gaston Leary. It is from the Army and Navy Department of the Young Men's Christian Association, one of the agencies of the United Service Organization (U.S.O.). There is a 1955 - 1956 Season Ribbon from the ''Gym League Champs'' of the Lowell, Massachusetts Holy Cross Y.M.C.A.. Next is a used postcard from the ''New Y.M.C.A. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma'' It has a 1958 Oklahoma City postmark, a three cent Statue of Liberty postage stamp, and it was mailed to a Littleton, Massachusetts address. There is a small enameled screw back lapel stud button. It has a man and the Y.M.C.A. logo. It appears to be made of bronze. The back section is included. It is marked ''YMCA'' and ''ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO, MASS.'' There is an old celluloid pinback button that pictures a person diving. It reads ''Y.M.C.A. SWIMMING AWARD - BEGINNER''. It is imprinted in red and blue on a white background. There is an embossed union mark on the back. The last item in this lot is an enameled sterling silver pin with a back section included. It is enameled in blue and marked ''YMCA - HUNDRED MILE SWIM CLUB - CLEVELAND CENTRAL'' and ''STER.'' on the back. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the post card measures about 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. These items appear to range from good to near mint condition as pictured. The booklet on the left has folds and creases. |
