The pictures below show larger front and back views of the (2) Different Old World War II Home Front Patriotic Song Sheet Music in this lot. These two have great graphic images on the covers of Soldiers marching or charging into battle. The first one has Service Flags flying from apartment buildings. The first sheet music is for the ©1917 song “THERE’S A SERVICE FLAG FLYING AT OUR HOUSE”. It has (4) pages counting the covers. The back cover advertises the song: “WHEN THE PARSON HANDS THE WEDDING BAND FROM ME TO MANDY LEE”. The second sheet music here is for the ©1916 song: “THE CALL OF A NATION”. It also pictures a brass band on the cover, as well as Miss Liberty with a horn. It has (6) pages counting the covers. The back cover on this one advertises the song: “I’M GOING WAY BACK HOME AND HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME”. These music sheets each measure about 10-1/2'' x 13-1/2. They appear to be in poor to fair used condition. Both are over 100 years old and have wear, tear, and wrinkling from all those years as pictured. They can probably be flattened out better, and framed for the graphic World War I military covers. |
