These pinback buttons are not dated, but they are believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. They were used as a premium from Chesterfield Cigarettes. They appear to be from the same set with a few different paper inserts. The blue backs are from The Whitehead & Hoag Company, and the white backs are from The Phelps & Sons Manufacturing Company. Both companies were from Newark, New Jersey. The paper inserts are marked as follows: (blue)
