The pictures below show larger views of this Large Antique Painted Hand Blown Glass Easter Egg. The egg is not dated but it is old. Painted on it is the word “EASTER” and it has flowers and leaves. Years ago we learned that blown glass eggs were used to get farm birds to lay eggs. They were also used in sewing as in darning socks. We do not know what these particular Easter eggs were used for besides decorations. The glass egg measures about 2-13/16'' x 3-3/4''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured.
