| | | | The pictures below show larger views of this Boxed 1975 Korean War Memorial Monument To United States Forces Award Plaque. This monument was erected by the Ministry of Defense on October 3rd, 1975 in South Korea. Besides the large stone monument in the center, there are (50) flag poles with flags, one for each of the states in the United States surrounding it. The presentation box is covered in paper with a stone looking pattern. The inside is cloth lined and the wooden plaque is recessed inside. The wooden plaque has a medal applied to it that has a raised image of the memorial monument, and Korean writing. It is also marked in English as follows: MONUMENT DEDICATED TO
UNITED STATES FORCES
IN THE KOREAN WAR
1975. 10. 3. There is also a metal hanger on the back of the plaque to hang it on a wall. To judge the sizes the presentation box measures 6-1/2'' x 6-1/2'' x 1-7/8''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
