The pictures show views of the cover, title page, and (10) of the (17) colorful images inside this Colorful Old Inky Imps Comic Character Childrens Book. This book is not dated but is believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. It was written by Reginald Rigby and was published by Siegle, Hill & Company of London, England. It was printed in Bavaria and is believed to be a rare childrens book. The story is about nine little inkwell Imps and the mischief that they would get into when no one was around. It appears to be a very early comic strip type character book. There is text with the images in the book and the images are many different sizes, but all are large. The early character illustrations are great in this book as is the story. The book is in a horizonal format, hard cover, and has (38) pages. The left side pages are blank. The book measures 13'' x 9-1/2''. It is complete and in fair condition with a loose cover, over all soiling on the cover, age discoloration on the white areas of the pages. Surprisingly the images all appear to be clean. They could all be removed, matted, and framed. |
