| | | The picture shows a view of both sides of this Boxed 1970 Wolfeboro New Hampshire Bicentennial Commemorative Medal Coin. The medal is marked ''STER - 569'' on the edge. Also included is a small pamphlet with a short History of Wolfeboro and an image of each side of the medal. The back of the box is marked ''BY BLACKINTON - ATTLEBORO FALLS, MASS.''. Both sides of the medal have images on Lake Winnipesaukee. One is of the old paddlewheel steam ship S.S. Mt. Washington. It also has people boarding, a horse, stagecoach, boat, pier, dock and a building. The other side has a sign and some bushes with a sailboat out on the lake. It is marked on the two sides as follows: WOLFEBORO NEW HAMPSHIRE ON LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE LIVE FREE OR DIE BICENTENNIAL 1779 - 1970 WOLFEBORO THE OLDEST SUMMER RESORT IN AMERICA To judge the sizes the medal measures 1-1/2'' wide. The coin appears to be in very good condition as pictured. It has some tiny green spotting from the original green foam padding inside the box. The padding is still there but the coin is no longer in contact with it. The box has some normal light shelf wear and old scotch tape that once held it closed. |
