The picture shows a view of all (5) Different Giant Advertising Souvenir Pencils in this lot. These are lead pencils with big erasures (except for one). Two have plastic caps over the point and three have a tassel or string. They were probably purchased at gift or souvenir shops. One is blank and the others are from: Washington, D.C., San Francisco, California, Florida, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Washington, D.C. pencil has scenes all around it from the city including: The United States Capitol Building, The World War II Iwo Jima Statue, The White House Building, The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier, The Washington Monument, George Washington's Mount Vernon Home, The Watergate Hotel, The Jefferson Memorial Building, President John F. Kennedy Grave Site, The Lincoln Memorial Building, J.F.K. Center For The Performing Arts, and The National Shrine Church Building. The pencil from San Francisco, California, has a Cable Car and The Golden Gate Bridge. The Florida pencil has a Beach Scene with palm trees and oranges. The Cape Cod, Massachusetts pencil has a Lighthouse, a Lobster, and a Sailboat. To judge the sizes the longest one (Washington) measures 14-1/2'' long. These appear to range from excellent to mint unused condition as pictured. |
