| The pictures below show larger views of this Colorful Old Boxed Easter Egg Mechanical Spinning Novelty Tin Toy. This toy is not dated and the year that it was made is unknown. The maker is also unknown, but it was made in China. This spinning toy uses a small rubber band on the hooks inside the egg to hold it closed. The old rubber band has dried out and fell apart. It has been replaced, but only after the pictures were taken so that the egg could be shown opened with the tiny baby chick or peep inside. The toy works very well. You hold the mechanical section in your hand and push the button. This makes the egg section spin and open while spinning. The unusual shaped cardboard paper box is colorful. The top and one side picture a baby chick or peep. Two sides picture the toy, once with the egg closed and once with spinning and opened. Oddly the box also pictures a Christmas tree with ornaments o each side as well. It has some Chinese wording which we can not read, and it is marked in English as follows: ???????????

??????????? To judge the sizes the box measures about 2-1/4'' x 4-1/2'' x 2-3/4''. The toy is in working order and it appears to be in mint condition as pictured. In the second picture below, the small end of the box has separated, but it can easily be glued if desired. |
