The pictures below show two larger views of this Colorful 1931 Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Lithographed Tin Toy Prize Diesel Train Locomotive Engine ERROR. Both sides are shown. PLEASE NOTE: THE TOP ENGINE IS ONLY SHOWN FOR REFERENCE AND IT IS NOT INCLUDED. The top one shows the correctly made engine. The bottom train engine was folded or made backwards. The narrow end should be on the front of the engine. This is the only one of many that I have ever seen that was made like this. Included here is one diesel locomotive engine (the bottom ERROR one). The train engine prize is not dated but it is from 1931 by The Gray Stamp & Manufacturing Company of Plano, Illinois. The Cracker Jack ID number for this engine prize is Z-0157. The tin prize is lithographed, die cut, and folded into shape wrong. The miniature train locomotive engine measures about 2-3/8'' x 5/8'' x 9/16. Besides being an ERROR, the prize appears to be in near mint condition with a small spot of something on one side as pictured. |
