| | | The picture below shows a larger front and back view of the (3) Different Unused 1930s Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection C. Carey Cloud Squeeze Head Paper Puppet Prizes in this lot. Artist and Designer C. Carey Cloud was a prize Designer for Cracker Jack from 1937 to the early 1960s. He had designed hundreds of prizes throughout the depression, World War II and beyond. The novelty toy prizes were made of mainly tin or paper before and after WWII, paper during this time because of war shortages, and mostly of paper and injection molded plastic after the war. The Cracker Jack ID number for these prizes was Z-0948. These hippopotamus, owl, and leopard puppet head figures are die cut. They are made to squeeze the sides making their mouths open and close or talk. Flat as pictured, the prizes measure about 1-5/8'' x 2-3/4''. These appears to be in excellent to mint unused condition as pictured. The center one has some age discoloration or yellowing. |
