| | | The picture shows a view of this Old Celluloid Uncle Don Club Advertising Radio Premium Pin Back Button. Don Carney (aka Howard Rice) had broadcast and entertained children from 1928 to 1949 from New York Radio Stations. The year of this pin is unknown. This pin was sponsored by Happylad Shirts of Peter Pan Fabrics, but he had many other sponsors to the likes of Borden, Lionel trains, Terry and Ted, Good Humor Ice Cream, Taystee Bread, and Remmington Typewriters to name a few. This pinback is imprinted in red and black on a white background. Uncle Don is pictured in an oval frame between two children. It is marked as follows: UNCLE DON CLUB Happylad Shirts of Peter Pan Fabrics Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. This pinback button measures 7/8'' wide and is in excellent condition as pictured with some minor light surface rusting on the back. |
