The pictures below show several larger views of this Early Hartford Vermont Library Advertising Souvenir Porcelain Tea Cup. This advertising tea cup is not dated but it is believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. The Library was built in 1893. The thin porcelain cup has an early detailed image of the Library on the side, gold paint on the rim, bottom, and on the handle. It is marked on the side and the bottom as follows: HARTFORD LIBRARY HARTFORD, VT. MADE IN ENGLAND L. PEASE & SON. HARTFORD, VT. Rd. 115510 The tea cup measures 2'' tall. The cup displays nicely on the front. It has some damage, but for Historical reasons we thought it was worth saving, and that someone would appreciate it. On the back there is an old crack and on the inside are a few old stains as pictured. Please see pictures #3 and #4 below. |
