| | | The picture shows a view of this Unused 1958 King Creole Elvis Presley Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1958 when the movie was made. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has an image of Elvis playing guitar and one in a scene with a woman from the movie. It is marked as follows: IT PULSES WITH THE HEARTBEAT OF TODAY'S YOUTH! ELVIS PRESLEY IN KING CREOLE A HAL WALLIS PRODUCTION SONGS: AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU DON'T ASK ME WHY HARD HEADED WOMAN KING CREOLE LOVER DOLL NEW ORLEANS YOUNG DREAMS AND MORE! CO-STARRING CAROLYN JONES - WALTER MATTHAU - DELORES HART DEAN JAGGER - VIC MORROW - LILLIANE MONTEVECCHI - PAUL STEWART DIRECTED BY MICHAEL CURTIZ SCREENPLAY BY HERBERT BAKER AND MUCHAEL VINCENTE GAZZO The ad mat measures about 4-1/4'' x 5-1/4''.
