The picture shows a view of this Old Metal Put & Take Spinning Top. The design on the lower section of the top part is on an angle but can be seen a little bit. This top is made of two parts. The top section is not marked but might be silver. The bottom section is either copper or brass. It is hollow and has a hole at the very top. You can blow on it and it sounds like a whistle! It is not dated, but old. This top is a game all by itself you can carry in your pocket. It can be played with money ($100 bills if you want), poker chips, matchsticks, or anything else that you have that's plenty. The game is played by any number of people. It's played by having a pot to put and take from. The top has eight sides. It is spun and you do whatever it says like "T3" (take 3), "P4" (put 4), and so on. I think the star means you get the jackpot, but I'm not sure. This one is marked as follows: STAR (pictured) T3 P1 T2 0 P3 T1 P4 There are many different varieties of this Put & Take top. It measures 1-3/16" tall. It is in excellent or better condition with a nice aged patina. |
