| | | The picture shows a view of this Old Carded & Unused Davy Crockett Character Metal Badge. The badge or card are not dated but they are believed to be from around 1955 or 1956. The maker is unknown. It could have been used as a premium, but it was probably sold from an old five and dime store. This badge is made of metal and it has a faceted blue plastic stone applied. The badge has two crossed rifles, a powder horn, and a coon skin hat. The card pictures a western American fort. The name on the card is a misspelled error. We have an example of the badge being misspelled as well, but this one was one that was corrected. The two are marked as follows: DAVY CROCKETT DAVEY CROCKETT OLD FRONTIER The badge measures 2-1/8'' x 1-1/2'' and the card measures 4-1/4'' x 3-3/8''. It is in excellent unused condition. The stone was glued off center a little and some of the lettering was not painted as pictured. The paint could be easily touched up. Below here, for reference, is a cast list from the feature movie: Cast Fess Parker - Davy Crockett Buddy Ebsen - George Russel Jeff York - Mike Fink Kenneth Tobey - Jocko Clem Bevans - Cap'n Cobb Irvin Ashkenazy - Moose Mort Mills - Sam Mason Paul Newlan - Big Harpe Frank Richards - Little Harpe Troy Melton - (archive footage) Hank Worden - Fiddler Dick Crockett - (archive footage) Walter Catlett - Col.
