There are three pictures showing a view of all (31) Old Ship & Boat Photographs in this lot. Some are artistically done. There are all kinds of crafts here from as small as a canoe to as large as cruise ships or sailing ships. Some of these may be out fishing, some on leisure cruises, and some may have immigrants. Only a few have writing to identify them. Four here are negatives. The images are clear, but they didn't scan very well. Yellow paper was put behind them to try and make them show up, but it didn't work very well. The top left two in the first picture are both unused real photo post cards. At the bottom of the first one it reads: "AN OUTGOING SHIP. MIRAMICHI RV. NEAR CHATHAM - NB 589". The second one has many men on deck and has what appears to be a British flag. The bottom right photo in the first picture is marked on the back: "LAKE BIWA" In the second picture, the photo in the bottom left reads as follows on the back: "UNCLE RALPH NESBIT'S CABIN CRUISER ON MOOSEHEAD LAKE MAINE WHICH HE MADE MAY 1938" In the third picture, the center negative with the cars is clear but it doesn't show up. Above the cars is a sailing ship that is docked. The stern of the ship reads: "FRED WOOD CO. - SUCCESS - MELBOURNE" This one may be able to be dated if printed by the license plates on the cars. All of the old photographs pictured for one price! The largest photograph in this lot measures 6-1/8" x 4-3/8". These range from good to mint as made condition. |
