| | | The picture below shows a larger view of this ©1946 Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection C. Carey Cloud Play School Magic Speller Dial Paper Prize. Artist and Designer C. Carey Cloud was a prize Designer for Cracker Jack from 1937 to the early 1960s. He had designed hundreds of prizes throughout the depression, World War II and beyond. The novelty toy prizes were made of mainly tin or paper before and after WWII, paper during this time because of war shortages, and mostly of paper and injection molded plastic after the war. The prize has images of a young girl and a young boy. This toy has a spinning dial or disc with a metal grommet. A small picture appears in a window and theb word for that image appears at the top. These include Dog, Fish, Pig, Doll, and Chair. The Cracker Jack ID number for this prize was Z-1087. The prize measures about 2-1/2'' x 1-11/16''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
