New Hampshire   White Mountains   Amusement Park   Attaction   Advertising   Souvenir   Bumper Sticker   Ticket   Circus   Western   Cowboy   Nostalgic
The picture shows a view of all (3) 1973 New Hampshire White Mountains Attaction Advertising Souvenir Items in this lot. On August 8th, 1973 a family had visited ''SIX GUN CITY ROUTE 2 JEFFERSON, N.H.'' and received the bumper advertising. This is not a sticker. It is heavy card stock paper that the park employees wired to your bumper while you were inside. On the next day, August 9th, 1973 the same family visited ''CIRCUS TOWNE TWIN MOUNTAIN, N.H.'' where they saved a colorful bumper sticker and a ticket. Both of these picture a clown head.

The Six Gun City Amusement Park is still in operation (see below) but we believe that the Circus Towne closed back in the 1970s.

The Circus Towne bumper sticker is attached to the back of the Six Gun City card but it could probably be removed if desired. To judge the sizes the Six Gun City card measures 13-3/4'' x 4-1/2''. All three of these are in excellent condition with a date written on each as pictured. Below here is some Historical reference information found online for Six Gun City:

The History of Six Gun City
CELEBRATING OVER 50 YEARS OF CREATING FAMILY FUN & MEMORIES IN THE OLD WEST

Surrounded by the majestic mountain peaks of the Presidential Range, Six Gun City is proving that all is not quiet on the Old Western Front. Ever since the park's founding in 1957, the James and Eleanor Brady family has continually added and improved the park; and, you just might say, that for over 40 years the Brady family has been creating a western village just for fun. What began as a dream in the minds of James & Eleanor, has become one of the most popular family destinations in New England. Throughout the years, the family has remained true to its original promise - to be an affordable place where families of all sizes can leave their troubles behind & enjoy a day of entertainment based on a time long since gone by.

Six Gun City sits on what was once ''The Charlie Crawford Farm''. James & Eleanor purchased the farm in 1941, and continued to farm the land with dairy cows, sheep, and crops. The ensuing years were often arduous, but at the same time rewarding.

In 1954, they built and operated a Dairy Bar that quickly became the talk of the area. In 1957, James, Eleanor & their eight children (yes, that's eight) built, opened, and operated Six Gun City. When first opened, the Frontier Western Theme Park consisted of a few buildings, of which some were ''fronts'', an Indian Camp, and a Gift Shop. Visitors were entertained by Cowboy Skits, stagecoach, and pony rides, as well as artifacts on display. In the early 1960's a commitment was made to preserve many of the area's antique carriages, wagons and sleighs.

PAST
The dream that began over 40 years ago continues to be realized and implemented with additions yearly. According to Thomas Brady (the youngest of the original eight), ''Isn't it time your family creates lasting memories of a visit to Six Gun City?''

PRESENT
Today you can see one of the finest collections in the east. Throughout the years, the western village has grown. In the mid 1980's different water rides were added, and now the village has evolved into a combination Theme and Water park. Today, three generations of Bradys are involved in the operation and the planning for the future.

FUTURE
According to Thomas Brady (the youngest of the original eight), ''our family has been blessed by operating the park all these years. We have been able to become friends with most of the people who have been employed, with many of the visitors, and most of all, we are able to derive so much satisfaction with the memories of all the smiles we see on kids' faces everyday.''
