The picture below shows a larger view of this Large Colorful 1950s Korea & Japan United Nations Military Souvenir Scarf. The silver circles seen on the scarf are only magnets holding it up for the photograph. The scarf pictures Manchura, China, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Mount Fuji, United Nations country flags, and many different countries: Navy, Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force military insignias. It was found among a U.S. Army Private Soldier who had been to Korea & Japan in the early 1950s. As an added bonus, we will include a business card of the man who it belonged. The large scarf came folded in a small damaged box with a name and an attached note. The name and note are both included and they read as follows: NICHOLE HAINES GIVEN TO NICHOLE BY GRAMMY WHO GAVE IT TO ME BY YOUR DADDY WHEN HE WAS IN THE NAVY LOVE GRAMMY The colorful silky scarf measures about 28-1/2'' x 25-1/2''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. As stated above, the silver circles on it are only magnets holding it up for the photograph. |
