Included in this lot are the following: There are (2) Raggedy Ann dolls. The larger one has a tag, but it is faded and can not be read. The smaller one has a tag from Playskool, Inc. of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It has cleaning instructions. There are (3) different books. The first one is titled “RAGGEDY ANN’S MERRIEST CHRISTMAS” it is ©1952 by Johnny Gruelle with illustrations by Tom Sinnickson, and it was published by Wonder Books of New York. Unfortunately the binding edge is gone and the cover is separated. The second book (not pictured) is titled “RAGGEDY ANN’S SECRET” it is ©1959 by The Johnny Gruelle Company with illustrations by Ruth Wood, and it was published by Wonder Books of New York. Unfortunately the cover of this one is missing. The third book is titled “THE PAPER DRAGON A RAGGEDY ANN ADVENTURE” it was originally ©1926 by The P. F. Volland Company, and this re-issue is ©1854 by Simon & Schuster Books. The book was written and illustrated by Johnny Gruelle. This is a hard cover book with a dust jacket. It is filled with beautiful and very colorful 1920s illustrations. Next there is a ©1969 hard plastic plate and bowl set. The plate is illustrated with Raggedy Ann & Andy reading a book with toys all around. The bowl pictures the two playing with a toy horse on wheels. The two are marked as follows: ©1969 THE BOBBS – MERRILL COMPANY INC. ONEIDA DELUXE 3107 (plate) 3243 (bowl) Next is a boxed ©1999 porcelain bell. It was by Springwater Enterprises. It looks like Raggedy Ann, but it is called a”Maggie Chimer”. The legs and feet are the bell ringer or clapper. There is a toy hand mirror that pictures Raggedy Ann and has a flower on the handle. We just noticed that the plastic has a crack, but it can be easily repaired. There ia a Christmas 1976 photograph of a new baby posing with Raggedy Ann and Any dolls under a Christmas tree. It has information written on the back. There is a small Raggedy Andy plastic cake decoration. It has a post to push into a cake. There is a miniature ©2002 Hallmark Cards Raggedy Ann ornament. The final item in this lot is an old red plastic Raggedy Ann Gumball machine toy prize charm. It has a broken loop at the top. All thirteen of these character items for one price! To judge the sizes the plate measures about 8-1/2'' wide. These items appear to range from good to mint condition as pictured, and described above. |
