The picture shows a view of the (2) Artist Made Cracker Jack Advertising Sulphide Marbles in this lot. One of these has a sulphide figure of Sailor Jack saluting and the other is of his dog Bingo. The figures inside were made from a 1950s Sailor Jack & Bingo Cracker Jack prize.

I had contracted with a California Artist to create a handful of these to give to some special Cracker Jack collector friends in the early 1990s. The Artist no longer makes marbles. These two here were a few extras that were left over. Very few of these were made and they are not available anywhere else.

The sulphide pieces inside do not have the detail that the first ones had. They were made in the same way, by hand, as these type marbles were made back in the 1800s. They have the usual manufacturing flaws such as bubbles in the glass.

The larger one measures just over 1-1/2'' wide and the smaller one measures 1-1/4'' wide. These are in as made condition as pictured.
