| The pictures show a front and back view of all (5) Colorful Old Hassan & Tokio Cigarette Premium Celluloid Pin Back Buttons in this lot. These pinback buttons were part of an 1896 collection of pinback buttons that we had acquired. They were used as a premium from Hassan and Tokio Cigarettes. They appear to be from the same or similar set. It is unknown how many are in the complete set. Each of these pinback buttons have an image of comic or cartoon characters from the Victorian period with the Artist's printed facsimile signature. One has a man and a woman, one has a parrot, one has a Navy Sailor and a parrot, one has a man in a hat, and the last one has a man blowing a whistle. Four have a Hassan Cigarette paper insert and one has a Tokio Cigarette paper insert. All of these were made by The Whitehead & Hoag Company. In the order pictured, they are marked as follows:
