The picture shows the covers of all (6) World War II Homefront Patriotic Calendar Booklets in this lot. These were made by Brown & Bigelow of St. Paul Minnesota. These are in red, white, and blue and have a different sepiatone patriotic image on each.

These images look like a miniature poster or trading card art. Each of these has a 1943 calendar on the inside cover. Each has a different set of monthly pages (see below). There are some blank perforated pages in the back of each. The first one has writing on some of the pages, but the others do not. These were used as a wartime advertising premium. The advertising section on each of these reads as follows:

MACWHYTE COMPANY
KENOSHA, WISCONSIN
MANUFACTURERS OF
WIRE, WIRE ROPE AND BRAIDED SLINGS
AIRCRAFT CABLE, TERMINALS AND TIE RODS

The first booklet is for the month of February 1943. It has an image of Abraham Lincoln, a farm scene, a city skyline, a church. Below it reads: "...THAT FREEDOM SHALL NOT PERISH FROM THE EARTH" and "OUR CAUSE IS RIGHT - OUR GOAL IS WORTHY - OUR STRENGTH IS GREAT AND GROWING.".

The second booklet is for the month of March 1943. It has an image of a Sailor and a Soldier or Marine with rifles. In the background U.S. Navy Battleships can be seen. Below it reads: "LET'S BACK THEM UP!" and "EVERYBODY - EVERY PAYDAY - AT LEAST 10% IN WAR BONDS.".

The third booklet is for the month of May 1943. It has an image of Uncle Sam rolling up his sleeves with a mob of men behind him with picks and shovels. Below it reads: "WE CAN! WE WILL! WE MUST!" and "WORK HARDER AT OUR JOBS AND DO THEM BETTER.".

The fourth booklet is for the month of June 1943. It has an image of a U.S. Army Nurse saluting in front of a red cross. Below it reads: "THE GREATEST SERVICE OF ALL" and "THIS IS OUR SALUTE TO THE ARMY NURSE.".

The fifth booklet is for the month of July 1943. It has an image of an Army Soldier and a Home Front Worker raising an Amrican flag. The Statue of Liberty is in the background. Below it reads: "SHOW YOUR COLORS!" and "PRODUCTION WINS BATTLES! WE'LL WIN THEM HERE!".

The sixth booklet is for the month of September 1943. It has an image of a brawny man pounding steel on an anvil. An eagle and a smokestack are in the background. Below it reads: "ONLY THE STRONG CAN BE FREE" and "IN THE WORLD'S GREATEST RACE AGAINST TIME, WE MUST MAKE EVERY MINUTE COUNT.".

All of these for one price! Each of these booklets measure 3-1/4" x 6". The first booklet was used as mentioned above. It has some edge wear and a 1/4" cover tear. All of the others are unused and are in excellent condition.
