| | | | The picture shows a view of this Fourth of July Parade 1908 Gardiner Maine Real Photo Post Card. This postcard has a neatly written message dated September 1st, 1908. It is addressed to a young lady in Bath, Maine. It is postmarked September 3rd, 1908 and has a one cent Benjamin Franklin ppostage stamp. The image side is marked ''JULY 4th 08 GARDINER ME.''. The photo image has a lot of detail and many people. There are Soldiers in uniform, a childrens marching band, Veterans, horses, many American flags & banners, awnings, and more. There is a brick main street with street car tracks. There are many businesses and stores and lots of signs that can be read. and many more... This real photo post card measures about 5-1/2'' x 3-3/8''. It is in excellent condition as pictured. The white spot seen in the upper right area is not damage to the post card. It appears that it was on the negative that was used to produce the card. Perhaps it was a flash, light glare or over exposure on the original negative. |
