| The picture shows the (2) ©1968 Frito-Lay Frito Bandito Magazine Advertisments in this lot. These were in a 1968 magazine together. One is a large full page advertisement and the other is a card with a scratch off contest piece. The scratch off section (the sobrero hat) is not scratched off. Who knows, it could have been a winner! The contest was for $29,999.00 first prize, (29) Ford Mustang convertibles as second prizes and (29,999) Kodak R4 Instamatic Camera kits as third prizes (both pictured). Advertising campaigns featuring the Frito Bandito character were stopped years ago because they were felt to be politically incorrect towards Mexicans. Both pieces are very colorful and picture the character as well as Fritos Corn Chips bags. To judge the sizes the large ad measures 9-1/4" x 12-3/8". Both are in mint condition. |
