1929 Boston Postal District Letter Carrier Reunion & Reception Ticket And Envelope
U.S.P.S.   United States   Post Office   Postal   Letter Carrier   Mailman   Boston   Massachusetts
The picture shows this 1929 Boston Postal District Letter Carrier Reunion & Reception Ticket And Envelope. The picture shows both sides of the ticket and the envelope is in the center. The ticket was obviously unused. The event took place at the Mechanics Building in Boston, Massachusetts on Wednesday Evening, May 22nd, 1929. Entertaining was the Boston Letter Carriers Band. The proceeds for the Reunion were devoted to the Postal Service's Sick And Death Benefit Fund, and to assist in a Hospital Free Bed for Letter Carriers. To judge the sizes the ticket measures 5-1/4" x 3" and the envelope is slightly larger. The ticket is in mint condition and the envelope (which pictures a mailman) is in near mint condition.
