The picture shows three views of this Early Checkers Popcorn Confection Advertising Goat Wagon Prize. This was a prize that came in a box of Checkers. The Checkers Popcorn product was from the Shotwell Manufacturing Company. It was a very strong competitor to Cracker Jack. So much so that Cracker Jack bought the product outright in 1926. It was continued but eventually phased out. The stand up goat cart is made of tin and it is imprinted with red and blue ink on a white background. It has an image of a 5 cent box on both sides and has a poem on top. It measures 1-3/4" long. It is in good condition as pictured with a few small surface rust spots. |
