| | | The picture shows a front and back view of this 1944 Quaker Oats Company Advertising Envelope With Quaker Graphic & Stamps. The envelope has a nice engraving image of the Quaker man holding a Quaker Oats oatmeal Cereal can and a document that reads ''PURE''. This envelope was mailed by ''SPECIAL DELIVERY REGISTERED'' mail from Boston, Massachusetts to a Manchester, New Hampshire address on December 20, 1944. There are three postmarks on the back and canelled stamps on the front. The postage stamps include a 13c Special Delivery stamp, two 10c John Tyler stamps, and a 3c ''Win The War'' Victory stamp. The return address is marked as follows: THE QUAKER OATS COMPANY 727 STATE MUTUAL BUILDING 50 CONGRESS STREET BOSTON 9, MASS. The envelope measures 9-1/2'' x 4-1/8''. It is in excellent condition as pictured with a torn flap on the back from opening. |
