| | | The picture shows views of the (2) Old Mutual Life Insurance Company Of New York Advertising Premium Items in this lot. These two items are not dated but they are believed to be from the late 1800s. The white one has celluloid covers with two card stock pages inside. They are connected by a rivit in one corner. The pages would be used to take notes with a pencil and then erased. Both covers have advertising and one has a detailed image of a building. It is marked on the two sides as follows: THE MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY Of NEW YORK RICHARD A. McCURDY PRESIDENT Has received from its policy holders in cash from February 1843 to January 1st, 1890, $361,679,275. It has returned to the policy holders in cash during the same time period, $287,681,947. And now holds for future payments $140,000,000. THE MUTUAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY Of NEW YORK RICHARD A. McCURDY PRESIDENT J. A. FORREST SPECIAL AGENT, TACOMA BLDG., CHICAGO The black book is an unused notebook from the same time period. It basically has the same advertising on front and the inside covers. The lined pages also have a company letterhead at the top as well. To judge the sizes the black notebook measures 2-7/16'' x 4-3/16''. The two appear to be in excellent condition as pictured. |
