The picture shows the (2) Old Pocket Watch Chains With Charms in this lot. The first one measures 13-1/4" long. It has no markings but is believed to be either gold, gold filled, or gold plated. It has not been tested, so I can not be sure. It has a rod for a button hole, a hook for a watch, and a hanging charm. The charm is from the fraternal Group Odd Fellows. It has black glass on the sides of the cross and enameling in the center section. It has an ornate design and three circles or links. Inside them it is marked "FLT" for Frienship, Love, & Truth. Judging by some edge wear on the back it appears to be gold plated. On the back is an eye with rays. The chain appears to be mint and the charm is in good condition with some wear and tiny chipping of the glass sections. The second chain measures 9-3/4" long. The only marking I can see is on the hook which reads "WEHCO". It is believed to be either gold, gold filled, or gold plated. It has not been tested, so I can not be sure. It has a section to go in a button hole, a hook for a watch, and an unusual hanging charm. The charm is flat on the bottom and it appears to be an area for engraving or a monogram. It is blank. It appears to be in excellent or better condition. |
