The picture shows all (5) Different Elongated Souvenir Cents or Pennies in this lot. I do not know when these were made. They are not dated. Each was made as a souvenir or momento of someones visit to each place seen on them. These were made by inserting a penny and other coins into a machine with dies. A crank is turned and the penny is squeezed through with an imprint. The first one pictures a beach scene with buildings, pier, and the Sun in the background. It is marked "OLD ORCHARD BEACH MAINE"The second one pictures an old building with palm trees. It is marked "OLD TOWN SAN DIEGO"The third one has a penguin. It reads "BLACK FOOTED PENGUIN CONSERVATION PROJECT"The fourth one has a giraffe and reads "GIRAFFE - ROGER WILLIAMS PARK ZOO"The last one in this lot pictures a dragon (?) and is marked "LAND OF THE DRAGONS - BUSCH GARDENS WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA"All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the longest one measures 1-9/16" long. These appear to range from excellent to mint condition. |
