The picture shows the (2) Old Miniature Tape Measures in this lot. One has what appears to be a celluloid button on one side. It has an image of a flowering tree branch and a pier on the water. There is a cloth tape inside and a button on the side not seen to retract the tape. It is marked "JAPAN". It is the same type that was made and used as an advertising premium by many companies in the 1920's and 1930's. The second one has a three foot metal tape by Walsco. It has an applied brass pice with wording that pictures a Pioneer with a rifle. It is marked as follows: FRONTIER TOWN NORTH HUDSON, N.Y. LITTLE PAL 3 FEET MADE IN U.S.A. To judge the sizes the larger one measures 1-1/2" wide. Both appear to be in excellent condition and in working order. |
