United States Navy   U.S.N.   U.S. Navy   Ship   Submarine   Blimp   Airship   Nautical   Military   U.S. President   World War II   WWII   Homefront   Historic   Americana   Scrapbook
The pictures show some random sample pages of this World War II United States Navy Picture & Article Scrapbook. There is no cover, only loose pages. The pages are filled with many U.S. Navy ship, submarine, and airship images as well as many articles. The ships in the pictures are all named. There are newspaper pictures and articles on Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman.

There is a nice bonus in this scrap book. There is a cloth section of a U.S. Navy Airship K-133 that had crashed when forced down on April 19th, 1944. That piece can be seen in the 6th picture below. There are articles from the Naval Air Station Houma, Louisiana that tell about this and they are included as well.

To judge the sizes the old scrap book pages measures about 10'' x 12-1/4''. The pictures and articles are in good condition. The scrap book pages are dry, brittle, and tattered on the edges. The pictures and articles appear to have come from many sources. Some are from magazines, newsletters, newspapers, and postcards. A few are loose but most are pasted to the scrap, book pages.
